The ALBEDO Telecom GPONDoctor OLTe is a portable GPON OLT interoperability and conformance testing platform designed for laboratory engineers, GPON network planning, and active GPON equipment development. It operates as an OLT reference tool for ONT/ONU interoperability testing, enabling engineers to evaluate protocol compliance, troubleshoot multi-vendor interoperability, validate ONU behavior, and support GPON network deployment and certification activities.
The GPONDoctor OLTe supports ITU-T G.984.3, management entities defined by ITU-T G.988, and a GPON B+ SFP optical interface compliant with ITU-T G.984.2. It provides programmable OMCI message creation, TCL scripting for multiple OMCI operations, OLT master behavior, PLOAM message generation, Ethernet traffic encapsulation in GEM frames, fault injection, and simultaneous management and monitoring of multiple ONTs. The platform supports GPON distances up to 60 km with 1:64 splitting, and includes a 10G transport interface for full GPON bandwidth utilization.
