MTNetworks SFP 4G SR Fiber Channel 850nm 300m

The MTNetworks MT-SFP-4X-SR is a 4.25Gbps SFP optical transceiver designed for short-reach optical communication over multi-mode fiber (MMF). Utilizing an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver, the module supports transmission distances of up to 300 m on OM3 multimode fiber. It is optimized for 4G Fibre Channel, while maintaining backward compatibility with 2G and 1G Fibre Channel applications, making it suitable for storage area networks (SAN), enterprise infrastructure, and high-speed optical interconnects.

Designed in a hot-pluggable SFP form factor, the module features a duplex LC optical connector, integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) compliant with SFF-8472, and full interoperability with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). Real-time monitoring of temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit optical power, and receive optical power enables simplified network management, making the transceiver suitable for Fibre Channel storage networks, enterprise switching, industrial optical systems, and other short-reach multimode fiber deployments.
