MTNetworks SFP+ 8G SR Fiber Channel 850nm 300m

The MTNetworks MT-SFP+-8X-SR is an 8.5Gbps SFP+ optical transceiver designed for high-speed optical communication over multi-mode fiber (MMF). Utilizing an 850 nm VCSEL transmitter and a PIN photodiode receiver, the module supports transmission distances of up to 300 m over OM3 multimode fiber. It is optimized for Tri-Rate 2.125/4.25/8.5G Fibre Channel, CPRI, OBSAI, and other high-speed optical networking applications requiring reliable short-reach connectivity.

Designed in a hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor, the module features a duplex LC optical connector, integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) compliant with SFF-8472, and full interoperability with the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). Real-time monitoring of temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit optical power, and receive optical power enables simplified network management, making the transceiver suitable for Fibre Channel storage networks, wireless fronthaul infrastructure, enterprise switching, and data center optical interconnects.
