The MTNetworks MT-SFP-OC48-ZRA/B is a high-performance 2.5G BiDi SFP optical transceiver designed for SONET OC-48, SDH STM-16, Fibre Channel, enterprise backbone, and long-distance optical communication applications. Supporting data rates up to 2.5 Gbps, the module enables reliable optical transmission over Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) up to 80 km using single-fiber BiDi technology, reducing fiber utilization while maintaining carrier-grade performance.

The module is available as a complementary BiDi pair:

  • MT-SFP-OC48-ZRA: 1490 nm Transmitter / 1550 nm Receiver
  • MT-SFP-OC48-ZRB: 1550 nm Transmitter / 1490 nm Receiver

The transceiver integrates a DFB laser transmitter, high-sensitivity PIN photodiode receiver with TIA, built-in Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM), and a hot-pluggable SFP form factor with a simplex LC optical connector. It is designed for long-distance single-fiber optical transmission in carrier and enterprise networks.
