The MTNetworks MT-SFP-ZR-160A/B is a 1.25Gbps BiDi SFP optical transceiver designed for ultra long-distance optical communication over a single strand of single-mode fiber (SMF). Supporting transmission distances of up to 160 km, the module utilizes WDM technology to transmit and receive optical signals over a single LC interface. It is optimized for Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, and other 1.25Gbps optical networking applications requiring high-capacity, long-haul bidirectional connectivity.
Designed in a hot-pluggable SFP form factor, the module features a single LC optical connector, integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) compliant with SFF-8472, and full interoperability with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA). The BiDi transceiver is available in complementary wavelength pairs for deployment as matched transmit/receive modules. Real-time monitoring of temperature, supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit optical power, and receive optical power simplifies network management across carrier, enterprise, ISP, and metropolitan optical networks.
