The ALBEDO Telecom Net.Storm is a portable, hardware-based Ethernet/IP impairment generator designed to emulate real-world network impairments in a controlled test environment. It enables engineers to evaluate the tolerance, quality, and performance of video, audio, and data applications by introducing configurable delay, delay variation, frame loss, frame duplication, and frame errors at the Ethernet layer. The platform supports dual electrical and optical Gigabit Ethernet test interfaces and provides independent impairment control for configured traffic flows.

The Net.Storm supports 10/100/1000BASE-T through dual RJ-45 ports and optical/electrical Ethernet through dual SFP ports up to 1 Gb/s. It provides configurable traffic filtering, bandwidth policing and shaping, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP filtering, VLAN support, jumbo frames up to 10 kB MTU, and up to 16 simultaneous traffic flows for impairment generation. The handheld platform includes a touchscreen interface, remote control through VNC and SNMP, PDF result storage, dual-battery operation, and IP54 environmental protection.
